My Experience at CCE- Part I
This weekend was a whirlwind of events to say the least! I feel like I have so much to say and I learned so much that I am gonna try and put these into parts. One of the most important things I learned was to be authentic and to be okay with being a little vulnerable from time to time. I try not to write about myself that often but I wanted to take a little time to give these posts some more thoughts and words rather than pictures.
As I have mentioned, I am one of the organizers for the Conference of Creative Entrepreneurs. I did a lot of the contacting of speakers as I have met a lot of people over the years and developed a lot of relationships with them. People that I not only truly admire but that are smart, articulate and like minded. So not only did I get to invite a lot of my friends to come and speak but I got to meet a lot of new people...whom I hope to become new friends with.
Lisa was staying with me so Saturday night we went out to dinner with Danielle from Etsy. I love these ladies. It was so nice to hear about their work and to share experiences with each other. Danielle's talk on Sunday about Etsy was super informative and as soon as I get back from LA I am going to redo my shop! I can't wait.
One thing Lisa said to me gave me real insight on the way of the world. It is really hard to imagine myself as being someone people look up to or feel nervous around or whatever else. I am an extrovert but I don't like the spotlight. For instance, when I was a little kid and it was my birthday I would cry when people sang Happy Birthday to me because it meant all eyes are on me. HATED IT!
But the reason I am bringing this up is this...
this world I have made for myself is very precious to me. I root for you all and am more than grateful for the kind words, encouraging words, etc. you have given me. I want you all to know that if you ever want advice or have a question I am more than happy to answer it or lend a hand. Sometimes I might not be as quick to answer as other times but I am really happy to do so. I am not scary, I won't bite:) I just do what I love and it has given me amazing opportunities in my life to connect with so many talented people. After this dinner I was laying in bed just thinking, I can't wait to write a love letter to all my Plush You! readers. I really would not be where I am without you. xoxo
More to come about the conference and helpful hints about how manage your business coming soon.

Conference of Creative Entrepreneurs
There are so many reasons to come out for Seattle's first Conference of Creative Entrepreneurs. I know the price could be rough for some folks but think of it as continuing education. A lot of people want to be at a place to start selling at craft shows but don't feel ready yet, attending this conference will give you the confidence to do so. Some of you want to build your blog or start a podcast which will hopefully result in more sales, this conference will help you do that. Other people want to learn how to transition into opening up a brick and mortar shop or make your art your full time job, this conference can also help you with that! AND you get breakfast and lunch each day AND you get to mingle with some of your crafty heros, your author heros, your business heros, etc. It's going to be so great. Don't delay and get your tickets today!

I have been a bad blogger these days. The reason why is #1 we are taking applications for Urban Craft Uprising which is exciting. #2, I am one of the organizers for Conference of Creative Entrepreneurs. We are now selling three day passes at the early bird rate. This is going to be a really amazing event! Hope to see some of you there!
