My New Cookbook

I still consider myself a meat dabbler.  I am totally scared to cook meat at my house and don't even know what to do with it.  My good friends are visiting from Minneapolis and they HIGHLY recommended How To Cook Everything: Simple Recipes for Great Food.  Since they both are very skilled cooks and were also former vegetarians, I figure they know what they are talking about.  I really haven't been so excited about a cookbook in so long!  So far I have made a flank steak salad that was delicious and super easy.  I am going to attempt a chicken recipe this week as well.  Wish me luck!

I bought this book years ago at Wal-Mart when I got my first apartment. I learned a lot, but one thing I did learn was I can't handle too many ingredients. Now I look for books with with recipes with just a few ingredients. I love them.

this is a great cookbook. I am not the best cook, and this has taught me to be so much better. It is something I refer to over and over.
I dig your blog!
