Aranzi Aronzo Press Release.

Schmancy is pleased to welcome Japanese artists Aranzi Aronzo!

Seattle – Kristen Rask, owner of Schmancy and curator of the annual Plush You! toy showcase, has generated such enthusiasm for the third annual Plush You! opening October 12th, that plush geniuses Aranzi Aronzo; creators of The Cute Book, are venturing to Seattle for a book signing and demonstration at Schmancy.

In the growing DIY and craft movement, Aranzi Aronzo are major players. Describing their work as "cute, strange, cool, silly, a little bit horrible, stupid and comfortable,” the sisters from Japan have crafted cute characters in various mediums way before their work was considered part of a trend. The craft community has long admired Aranzi Aronzo’s work in Japanese-language publications and with the recent Vertical Inc. English release of the how-to manual The Cute Book, crafters are able to try their hand at constructing these creatures on their own.

On October 19th, Aranzi Aronzo will bring the cuteness to Schmancy for one evening only. There will also be limited edition Aranzi Aronzo merchandise available for purchase. For aficionados of Usagi, Kappa, Panda and all of Aranzi Aronzo’s characters, as well as crafters and lovers of all things cute, this event is not to be missed.

The opening reception will be at Schmancy on October 19th from 5:00 to 9:00pm. Please invite all your friends.
