At 11:15 we begin with the lovely Blair of Blair. Blair will be hosting "Make your own "wee" soft toy". Based on Hillary Lang's "Wee Wonderful Wee" pattern, we will spend the morning making this simple soft toy. They are endlessly cute and can be personalized in limitless ways. This workshop will guide you through the basic of constructing a stuffed toy and you will leave with one to keep for yourself, or spread the cuteness and give as a gift!
Blair lives in Seattle with her husband and two children. Whenever there's time, she love to sew in her home studio and creates all kinds of soft toys, accessories for her home and children, using a mixture of new and vintage or otherwise recycled materials. She has a great appreciation for the unique, one-of-a-kind world of handmade toys, and finds the mass-produced world a bit boring these days. You can find her personal musings about the things she creates at
blog and her goods are available for sale
at her etsy shop
This workshop should take about 2 hours.
At 1:30 Ariana Marinelli will be up. She will be making "pet jewelry" for you and not your pet. You will be able to leave with a pin, a ring and bracelet that you have made yourself.
After receiving her BFA from The Oregon College of Art and Craft in 2002, Ariana has been concockting dreamy stuffed landscapes from a variety of materials. She is inspired by 60’s fashion photography, vintage toys, the films of Hayao Miyazaki, Icelandic pop music and her earless cat.
Supplies list's will be supplied when you sign up along with more information. Please indicate which workshop you are interested in.
Pictures of both items will be up soon.
