Welcome to Seattle
I thought I would take a moment to tell you a bit about Seattle for those of you that are planning on taking a trip up here for the show.
An artist in the show suggested there might be other artists that are willing to put you up for a night or two. Not sure if that is true but if you are one of them, let us know or add a comment here.
The Moore Hotel is RIGHT next to us. I think that it is the best place to stay for the right price in Seattle. Regular out of town shoppers have said they love staying there because the price is really good, the rooms are clean and it's in a great location. We are blocks away from Pikes Place Market which is a really fun place to visit with fresh produce, great restaurants, great people watching, etc.
The Ace Hotel is another hotel close by us that is sure to attract those of you into design. This hip hotel is also a good price but I do believe you share a bathroom with other guests. They are located more in the heart of Belltown which has a wealth of hip cool bars, restaurants, etc.
I would say these two hotels are the best for those of you coming to Seattle for Plush You.
Other fun attractions in Seattle that are sure to give you a wealth of good food and things to do are The International District, Pioneer Square, West Seattle, Belltown, Capitol Hill and the Waterfront.
Some of my favorite places to eat nearby are:
For really good meat lunch Salumi's is definately the BEST.
Tutta Bella has really really good pizza.
The Tamarind Tree has really great Vietnamese food. There might be a long line but it moves fast and it's worth it. Try the ginger cosmo...yummmm
The Pink Door is a bit pricey but the deck is awesome on a beautiful night and you are on vacation. Treat yourself to a nice dinner!
Le Pichet is several of my friends favorite places to eat in Seattle. One block away, Le Pichet offers a really nice atmosphere making you feel like you just stepped in a European cafe. I enjoy going there for breakfast myself.
My other regular breakfast place is The Crumpet Shop. I love it here. The owners and staff are all super nice, they give you an unlimited amount of refills on tea and they have a great selection of crumpets. Oh and it's really cheap.
If anyone has any questions on other things to do in Seattle, feel free to write me. I have lived here for 7 years and have eaten out a lot.
