when i was a kid one of my favorite toys was this plush "log cabin" that looks much like the first image. It had a velcro doorway and squirrel puppets and plastic furniture. My parents still have it.
I had that toy, too. They were called Woodsies! and had books with stories that went with them! I LOVED Woodsies and Legos. I remember the boy was called Milkweed!
