Brie Ruais

Last Sunday I went to the Bellevue Art Museum. I have to admit that I have never been BUT I would like to go often. It's a really nice museum very craft friendly! YAY!!!!! They had some great embroidery pieces. One day it would be great to say I curated a show in an actual museum. I am now going to aim for them. I would include Brie Ruais because she makes really pretty things. The End.

My author hero would have to be Dave Eggers. I am currently reading Zeitoun but I love all of his work! Dave Eggers will be in Seattle, Oct. 7th at 826 for a screening of The Wild Things. I really want to go ahhhh just another reason to love Dave Eggers. Did you even need a reason!!????

Canning Across America

So I missed the big kickoff weekend but I didn't want to forget to mention it. My friend is going to teach me a few canning things a few weeks from now but I am really excited about this as I decided recently to make more food items this year for the holidays. I made lavender sugar the other week for lavender cupcakes that were yummy! Recipe from Forever Summer. Last week I went to the 5th annual Stitch and Pitch and made a top for a can, project via The New Crewel: Exquisite Designs in Contemporary Embroidery. Happy Canning!
