Sew Me, Love Me

I haven't written more about Plush You! yet but I will. Now I got taxes to do so yeah, busy busy. I recently got this amazing book, Sew Me, Love Me: Best Stuffed Friends to Make and HIGHLY suggest you do the same. There are some adorable projects in there and I love all of their long lanky legs. It is a great book for plush dabblers and for those of you more skilled, it seems like it would still be fun to make these projects for gifts. The holidays are not far away!!!
Because I filed taxes I decided I deserved a treat...i know, a far stretch but come on! So I purchased, Blood Bank and Monsters Of Folk. I really like Bon Iver but I was a bit disappointed with Monsters of Folk. I LOVE M. Ward but this album was not as awesome as I thought it should be. Has anyone else heard it? Have thoughts?

I have the album and have been listening to it a lot lately. I like Conor Oberst's lyrics a lot, and I absolutely adore M. Ward's and Bon Iver's voices. I think it was a good representation of all of their stles rolled in to one. I like how you can tell from song to song which artist had the most influence, and I like most of the songs, except the first track. I don't think the sound meshes with the rest of the album.

Keep listening to it - it might grow on you :-)

M Ward's voice...mmmmm. Ever since he was on the cover of Paste with Zooey Deschenel (sp?), I had hopes that they would be the raddest musical genius couple evah. It's just not so...but good to see more of him on his own/with bon iver and co, other lovely souls I am sure.
May I suggest a French folk type, Soko?!?! Check her out. Funnnny!
