Everything old is new.

I have been on a vintage toy kick lately, and I can't stop looking for photos of old plush. I grew up in what now seems like a Gund-dominated era, so as a kid, I always had relatively 'realistic' stuffed animals - brown dogs, white polar bears, all the basic shapes and typical colors. Now browsing vintage toys on the internet, I almost feel a little cheated. Kids in the 1950s lucked out! A lot of them make for great Plush You inspiration, so I thought I would share a few nice photos and flickr pools with you all.

Second Hand Toys has some great stuff, but The Vintage Toys flickr pool is even better, in my opinion.

There's even a pool for Dakin Dream Pets, which were distributed in the 1950s. I don't know too much about them...other than...they're incredible, and could be a post on their own.

Lastly, check out the flickr pool for vintage toymaking books and another for vintage toy patterns.

If any of you have favorite links or photos, you should comment them over as well! I'm sure there are a ton of cool places/links I haven't found yet.
