Hey friends, Robert here. I'm excited to share a Flickr group called Play Food! that I launched this past week. Many of you are familiar with Flickr, but if not it's a photo sharing community with dozens of cool applications, not the least of which is the ability to create groups around a particular theme which allows it's member to contribute photos pertaining to that theme. If you browse the contents of Mahar Drygoods it's easy to see that I'm crazy for play food and always anxious to see more. So I invited Flickr friends to join and contribute images of three-dimensional, hand-crafted non-edible play food: crocheted, knitted, felted, sewn, sculpted from clay, paper-mache, assembled from found objects, origami, quilling...you get the idea. The results have been overwhelming! - and you'll see the large majority fall into the 'plush category. Scroll down to see a sampling of the amazingly creative cuisine submitted thus far.
I also wanted to mention that a basic Flickr membership is free and allows you to upload a generous 100MB of images each month or upgrade to a PRO account for $24.95 a year which allows unlimited uploads.
